Your lyrics and beat is excellent. Your voice is really good, and I felt that the autotune took a bit away from the song. The beat doesn't really change, but that's what makes it very relaxing. It reminds me a lot of the final song in Portal. Really like what you did with this song, and I hope to see more!

headphoamz responds:

Thank you! God I love Portal.

Freaking amazing beginning. Reminds me of Tiesto in his old days of trance. I really like that you stuck with more of a trancy/house feel and the clapping really pulled it along. The buildups were all solid, and the drop was really precise and well made. Loved the synths you used, and I can tell that you put a lot of time into mastering the song. Overall, I really really like it!

Thanks for recognizing a Tiësto blend! It really means the world when someone hears where the origin of my inspiration came from!
as for now, i have to say that this song has been improved tenfold in the past 4 hours.
It now has a solid intro, great builds again and flows more constant rather then flows along. if it makes sense.

anyhooo,
thanks for the great review! :) just shows how much i love Tiësto for what he has done, is, and became.

The chords in the background clash very terribly with the main melody, but the melody itself is very clear and precise. The piano sounds very muddy, but not muddy enough that I cannot hear it. Sometimes I wonder if for the melody you just played random notes, and then it all fit. Some parts though I feel are kinda strange, and don't really belong. I feel that you understand the under lying part of chord progression enough that it doesn't sound too off.

Yeah, It was really just a rhythm holder for the moment. I'll be doing a revisited copy of this with your words in mind. I'm glad the main melody made enough sense to be considered "clear and precise" though. Thank you.

I'm still kind of a newbie at FL studio master productions but, I'm learning quickly and as I go. So I'll see what I can fiddle around with to make it a bit more clear.

Well, you'd be partly right. The first bar was completely random but, within a scale and they fit and I liked it and what you see here is what my mind processed as "Logically" what that first bar meant.

While others might take offense to a statement like this I find it refreshing that I'm not being told how good I am when I know as a completely self taught composer and guitar player that I still have a long way to go to being able to create masterworks off the fly like this was (not implying this is a master work lol). I still have to find a way to reason out how bass works with complex melodies such as this one. Hopefully I get there one day. Thanks for your review it was much appreciated.

Awesome retro feel with a nice drum and bass feeling thrown into the mix. Love the synths and how fast paced the song is. The pssh sound in the middle is really awesome, and the arpeggios sound great. Love it! Keep it up!

etK responds:

Thanks dude :D

The orchestra in the beginning was very refreshing. I especially loved the piano and choir as well. Your synths were very clear and sounded amazing. The piano was especially beautiful. Really really wish you had lyrics to go along with it because it would have taken it to the next level. Probably the happiest song I have heard in a while. Loved when the synths, snare, and kick started to make their way in. It didn't clash at all, and sounded very well done. Loved the sidechained bass, and the clapping. Overall, very well done.

stephenstripling responds:

Thanks a bunch, glad you enjoyed it! :)

LOVE the synths that you used. They fit perfectly into a very easy to groove to melody, and the snares and kicks were on task. The buildup was a bit long, but SOOOOOO worth it. When the bass kicked in at 2:50 ish it sounded amazing. I think that was what pulled your song together into an awesome piece. Keep it up, and great work!

Submorphic responds:

Thanks for the positive feedback! :) Glad you liked it.

Freaking awesome! Loved the synths you used, and especially loved the saw you used! The side chained bass in the beginning was an interesting way to start the song, and I really enjoyed the bass through out the song. Loved the clapping and the kick. They really pushed the song into an awesome beat. Really interested in hearing more from you. Keep making more stuff!

Zodin responds:

Fantastic review, really pleased to read all of that. Thank you :)

Amazing idea and really awesome bass! Loved that rumble. The structure of it was very well done, and the synths sound clear. You obviously know what you are doing. The only compliant I have is that it is short, but it is a loop. The loop itself loops very clear, and isn't choppy at all, and doesn't sound forced. I would love to hear more from you. Keep it up!

The kick sounded amazing! It really pulled the song along, and gave it a "running" feeling that trance always gives. The synths were strong, and very clear. The structure of your song was very precise. At times, I felt that it got a bit repetitive, but what genre isn't repetitive these days? Loved the buildups, and especially loved the high hat. Keep it up!

PhatBoiJ responds:

Thanks! Your positives and negatives have really made me take a step back, and my next song is sure to have them in mind!

The bass was really strong, and the drums sounded very clear, but I felt it was missing something. It just felt like twenty different songs in one. The structure of your song felt very random and spontaneous, but that would have probably been eliminated if you had a vocalist. All and all, I really enjoyed what you submitted. Keep it up.

DjRoyalBeats responds:

I was just trying something new
that's why the beat was not a epic one
but hey thanks for your review
