So very chill. I had no idea what to expect! Love the reverb you added to the background to give it a "full room" kinda of feel. The synth really added to calm, and tranquil feeling of the whole piece. The beginning was kind of long, but I feel that is the point of ambiance. Really dug the small explosions of noise in the background that sound like doors closing, and the small drops of water. It sounds so beautiful and I really enjoyed listening to this!

Fubaka responds:

Yeah, those explosions in the background are derived from a rain sound I recorded. As such, the original working title of this piece was 'Rain Bombs'.

Thanks for reviewing.

Really awesome song! Loved the transitions to each one, and how they flowed. The psychotic, and strange sounding notes really added to the mood of the piece. Loved everything about it!

Love the robotish synths, and the very long sawtooths. They add something I can't put my finger on. Reminds me of something that should belong in a science fiction like game. Really like the mixing you did. Everything falls into place, and is right on target of where it should be. It sounds very cinematic. I dig it!

ScottJacob responds:

Thank you, kindly

Ambient really isn't my thing, but holy crap was this relaxing. The "wushing" synths literally vibrated my ears. It wasn't like they were overbearing either. They were just right in between being too quiet and being way too loud. It was perfectly balanced. The only complaint I really had was it didn't really go anywhere, or switch chord patterns which isn't really a bugger for this genre since it is supposed to be sort of reflective. Overall, you did an awesome job with the synths and I really dug what you made!

Fubaka responds:

Sometimes you need a long song for the purpose of immersion, and other times, you need a short interlude, like this.

When I finish my next album, you'll see how this song fits in.

Thanks for reviewing!

The sounds you used were fantastic, and the piano sounded really good, but I highly suggest turning down the reverb a bit. Reverb is probably the greatest trick up a musicians sleeve, but can be horrid if it is turned up to high. You used reverb well, but my suggestion would be turning reverb down a bit. The bassline is also a bit loud compared to everything else, but other than that the melody was really awesome. Keep it up!

This remix...is...is wow. It's changed, but not enough that I can't tell what the original composition is. Everything sounds soooo clear, and none of the beats clashed terribly with each other which is awesome. Love love love the vocals that go with it, and especially love the up and down motions of the high pitched notes in the background. Freaking love the buildups, and the drops that make it seem like its going to take off. The dubstep part is really good, and is really created well. What I am wondering is how you got access to the rendered version of the track or if you cut the full song up. Whatever you did, this remix is amazing. Love it!

Bantick responds:

I'm glad you liked it! I used an instrumental version to copy parts of the song, and did the same with the acapella.

Your lyrics and beat is excellent. Your voice is really good, and I felt that the autotune took a bit away from the song. The beat doesn't really change, but that's what makes it very relaxing. It reminds me a lot of the final song in Portal. Really like what you did with this song, and I hope to see more!

headphoamz responds:

Thank you! God I love Portal.

The piano in the beginning sounded amazing. Actually, everything sounded amazing! The drums were crisp and the snare really pushed the song along. Every synth complimented each other, and ran smoothly together. The melody always changed which made it sound different every single time. Overall, I really really love this song. Amazing work! Keep it up!

Freaking amazing beginning. Reminds me of Tiesto in his old days of trance. I really like that you stuck with more of a trancy/house feel and the clapping really pulled it along. The buildups were all solid, and the drop was really precise and well made. Loved the synths you used, and I can tell that you put a lot of time into mastering the song. Overall, I really really like it!

D-Chain responds:

Thanks for recognizing a Tiësto blend! It really means the world when someone hears where the origin of my inspiration came from!
as for now, i have to say that this song has been improved tenfold in the past 4 hours.
It now has a solid intro, great builds again and flows more constant rather then flows along. if it makes sense.

anyhooo,
thanks for the great review! :) just shows how much i love Tiësto for what he has done, is, and became.

The chords in the background clash very terribly with the main melody, but the melody itself is very clear and precise. The piano sounds very muddy, but not muddy enough that I cannot hear it. Sometimes I wonder if for the melody you just played random notes, and then it all fit. Some parts though I feel are kinda strange, and don't really belong. I feel that you understand the under lying part of chord progression enough that it doesn't sound too off.

Yeah, It was really just a rhythm holder for the moment. I'll be doing a revisited copy of this with your words in mind. I'm glad the main melody made enough sense to be considered "clear and precise" though. Thank you.

I'm still kind of a newbie at FL studio master productions but, I'm learning quickly and as I go. So I'll see what I can fiddle around with to make it a bit more clear.

Well, you'd be partly right. The first bar was completely random but, within a scale and they fit and I liked it and what you see here is what my mind processed as "Logically" what that first bar meant.

While others might take offense to a statement like this I find it refreshing that I'm not being told how good I am when I know as a completely self taught composer and guitar player that I still have a long way to go to being able to create masterworks off the fly like this was (not implying this is a master work lol). I still have to find a way to reason out how bass works with complex melodies such as this one. Hopefully I get there one day. Thanks for your review it was much appreciated.
